Are there specific medical protocols that I will need to adhere to when performing a consultation?

Our Petzey App provides tele-triage and tele-advice services for pet parents. We adhere to the VCPR rulings and regulations in all states, so we are not diagnosing and not prescribing during the consultation. We do not have formal protocols for you to recommend to the pet parent. As an example, if a pet parent calls about vaccination protocols, we do not require that you discuss specific vaccines with the pet parent. With the education, knowledge, and experience you have gained during your career, you have the opportunity to coach the pet parent on what is in the best interest of their pet.
